Elton & Walshaw JFC is one of the biggest and most well established Junior Football Clubs in Bury with over 300 players and 18 teams playing in leagues during the 2011/12 Season. We also have a flourishing Soccer School which has been developed over many years and which provides players for all our team age groups, in particular our new teams starting friendly football games at Under 6 and Under 7.

Soccer School Training is normally held at Bury College Playing Fields next to the Playfootball Complex which is within the grounds of Bury College, off Market Street, Bury. BL90DB. Soccer School Training commences at 10.30am on Sunday mornings. During the winter months training sessions move to the adjoining Playfootball complex. This gives players a unique playing experience (on grass and 3G Astroturf).

All coaches are FA qualified and CRB checked with many years experience of developing and encouraging young players. As part of the Clubs youth development programme older players in the Club are encouraged to assist and gain footballing qualifications and/or contribute towards school Duke of Edinburgh programmes.

When you arrive? There is ample adjacent parking and all the associated facilities at the Playfootball Clubhouse including drinks and toilet facilities. Please safely escort your players onto the playing facilities as quickly as possible and introduce the player to the Coach.

The Club operates a No Smoking and No Dogs policy at all of our facilities.

What do players need?  Players need football boots or trainers appropriate to the surface they are playing on. Players also need shin pads and long football socks and a drink is recommended. We are flexible about kit worn as we appreciate players (or parents) want them to demonstrate their allegiance to local teams and/or star players. Items of Club kit and equipment can of course be purchased if you desire and when players are settled in.

The Club operates an equipment recycling facility to assist parents and players.

What does it cost?  We understand that players and parents have busy lives and need to balance competing demands. As such our Soccer School operates on a pay as you go basis and is very, very competitively priced at £2.00 per session.

Full player membership of the Club is £12.50 per month and second sibling players are half price at £6.25 per month. Unlike some other clubs we do not operate a signing on fee and we provide football for all abilities. We don’t just select the best players we make our players the best.
