ABOUT US
Elton & Walshaw JFC is one of the biggest and most well established Junior Football Clubs in Bury with over 200 players and 14 teams playing in leagues during the 2024/25 Season.
Our Footballing Philosophy
Some Clubs may measure their success in terms of the number of cups and trophies in their 'trophy cabinets' but we consider our success to be measured by the pleasure and opportunity given to local youngsters and them having the chance to participate in regular organised football activities. This isn't to say we don't strive to achieve honours each season, (we actually do) but we don't want to sacrifice participation in the search for glory. We are an inclusive club which supports and nurtures local talent which enables players to be the best they possibly can be.

Club History
Established in 1992, Elton & Walshaw Junior Football Club affords both girls and boys the opportunity to play mini soccer on an organised basis. However since its initial inception the club has expanded considerably to one of the biggest junior football clubs in the Bury area. We now provide for all age groups from 6 to 18.
Going in to the 2024/25 season, we have 16 teams of various age groups playing either 5v5, 7v7, 9v9 or 11v11 football in local leagues.

Whilst historically our home was in the Elton/Walshaw area the size of the club and the facilities needed have dictated a move to new locations that can provide a more reliable, accessible footballing offer. Our current facilities comprise playing fields of Bury Athletics Club off Market Street, Bury and we also utilise the facilities at St Peter's Primary School, Bury and Unsworth Academy High School, Bury.
